Magazine Cover Copy: Work In Progress

To create my magazine cover, which I was copying, I used InDesign. After researching i found a magazine cover that i liked and i wanted to copy.
To start with i had to find a font that matched or was similar to the type on the actual magazine cover, and i found the typeface Voor, which i found on Dafont after looking at different typefaces. After i chose my font i wanted for the masthead, i had to resize the type so that it would contrast well with the other text that will be on the magazine cover.
After i did the masthead, i had to find another font off Dafont for the other text on the magazine cover. Once i chose the typeface that was similar, i typed the other text onto the magazine cover, and i resized them and aligned that so that it looked like the magazine cover i was copying and so it looked neat.

Next, using the colour dip tool, I used the magazine cover to get the colour of the background. After I got the colour that I needed for the background, I created a box and filled it with that colour, so that it looked like the magazine cover I was copying.

Finally, after I put the text and background on, I placed a photo that I took for the magazine cover. I had to edit the photo before I placed it onto the magazine cover, which I edited it on Photoshop. After I edited it, I placed it onto the magazine cover and resized it and put it in the correct place that it needed to be in and I just made sure that it was all aligned and that it looked like the magazine cover that I was copying.
